Behind the Scenes of the UESTC SICE Promotional Video

On December 22, 2023, the School of Information and Communication Engineering (SICE) at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) organized a promotional video shoot featuring its international student community. The goal was to highlight the school’s global diversity and dynamic academic environment through authentic student experiences.

The production team invited several international students from different countries to take part in both individual and group sessions. The filming began with personal interviews, where students from Pakistan, Algeria, several African nations, and I shared our thoughts about studying and research environment at UESTC. It was my first time being on a professional video set a genuinely new and educational experience. The lights, cameras, and repeated takes created a lively atmosphere, and I learned a great deal about how such media projects are produced.

Later in the day, the focus shifted to group scenes designed to capture teamwork and cultural connection. We gathered on a comfortable sofa set, chatting, laughing, and even singing together. These moments reflected the spirit of friendship and collaboration that define life at SICE. The entire experience blended professional production with spontaneous enjoyment a rare combination that made the day memorable.
